Romans 9:23 – He does this to make the riches of His glory shine brighter on those to who He shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory (NLT).
All we have to say to God is, “Thank You, God!” Every member of the Church can testify to God’s faithfulness, mercy, and grace in every area of life. God has indeed been awesome to Gates of Praise.
We have 2026 here now, and reflecting on the promises fulfilled and the blessings received over the past few years—together with His Word for this new year—we are fully convinced that God has empowered us to reveal His magnificence, His perfect and holy nature, and His power and riches for the world to see i.e. His glory.
Every act of mercy and grace made available through Jesus Christ was part of God’s eternal plan—to be revealed through those He calls His children (Romans 8:19). There is a beauty in His presence, perfection, and purity that God is eager to reveal and reflect through those who would stand up and be counted for Jesus in 2026.
Our calling has been made simple through the sacrifice of His Son’s blood on the Cross, and our assignment has been clearly defined through the power of His Word and the Holy Spirit. We are continually being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). Just as the sun, moon, stars, and the wonders of creation reveal the nature of our God, we too have been called to reflect His glory by connecting people to their Creator.
Beyond the newness of life we have in Christ, the benefits of experiencing and reflecting God’s glory are immense. These include daily renewal and transformation, a heavenly focus, spiritual empowerment, divine protection and peace, healing and wholeness, and a life that powerfully witnesses to others.
Our resolve for 2026 is to allow the Lord to live in us and have pre-eminence in all we do. As a result, the glory of the Lord will fill our lives—every day of this year (Numbers 14:21).
This is our season. His presence and power are available to reveal His glory through our lives and through our Church.
Bon voyage.
