Introduction:
What is a fulfilled Life?
A fulfilled life is described as being alive, filled with purpose and satisfaction, involving vision and requiring intense alignment to God. A fulfilled life is lived according to God’s will and purpose. It is a life that is meaningful, joyful and fruitful. God wants everyone to have a fulfilled life. That’s why He sent His only begotten Son to come and die for us – Matthew 1:21 | John 3:16. God also wants us to solely depend on Him – Proverbs 3:5-6 | Psalm 37:4.
How do we have a fulfilled life?
As we learnt from our introduction, it is God’s plan for us to have a fulfilled life. We must know that being successful is different from being fulfilled.
A believer can only have a fulfilled life by relying on God and by being led by the Holy Spirit. To experience true fulfilment, we must continually learn and apply the principles in the inspired word of God. Psalm 119:1 – end focuses on this.
If we are to enjoy a fulfilled life on this earth and eternity with God, we must come to know Him personally through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally, the Bible teaches us that the key to a fulfilled life is to follow God’s will and calling for our lives. God created us for a specific purpose, and He has a plan for each and every one of us. When we align our lives with His will, we will experience joy, peace and satisfaction.
Conclusion:
God wonderfully and fearfully made us, so He wants us to have a fulfilled life – Psalm 139:14
To have a fulfilled life, we must:
- be ready to pay the price – Ephesians 2:10
- be righteous and holy – Ephesians 6:14 | 1 Peter 1:15-16 | 1 John 3:10 | Psalm 106:3
- be close to God – James 4:8
- be ready to learn, be receptive to the Holy Spirit and be obedient to His word – 1 John 5:3
