Tithes & Offerings
We believe in the Biblical Principles of Tithes and Offerings: The Tithes and Offerings provide resources to meet the running cost of the ministry, support those in need, create a healthy community and fulfill our charitable objects.
According to the Scriptures, the believer is to give cheerfully, sacrificially and proportionately to support the work of the Ministry at the local Church. The word of the Lord instructs the believer to bring the tithe (10%) of our income into the Church. This in addition to the reasons above, puts the believers’ trust in God as the source and giver of all things.
Giving as God commands is also a show of our commitment to the preaching of the Gospel and our support to the local Church.
We are confident that God sill make all grace abound towards you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work
– 2 Corinthians 9:8

Gates of Praise is committed to preaching the gospel and touching people with the love of Christ in a practical way. The Bible makes it clear that “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world – James 1:27”
Your donations will enable us to reach many more than we are currently doing. Our Social Outreach Programme a.k.a Touch of Love currently provides support for
- The Homeless in our Community
- Soup and Breakfast Kitchen
- Donations to Little Haven Hospice, Tearfund, Sightsavers, Samaritan’s Purse UK
- Kent Home – Children’s Home in Ibadan, Nigeria
