THE POWER OF GOD

Mark 6:7 | Mathew 10:1 | Jeremiah 32:17

Introduction:

The Power of God is His ability to accomplish His will in every situation, both real and potential, through any means He chooses in order to glorify Himself. God’s power is centred on His will and His glory. We just need to know where to look. God’s power is an inherent characteristic of God that cannot be compared to any other power. And this power of God is in Jesus Christ too.

To live in God’s will as individuals and as communities of faith, we must not only understand God’s power, but we must experience this power. The Bible says that God is Almighty which means that God has unlimited power. He is Omnipotent.

We must always approach Him as the only one that can solve all our problems and no other one. Our reliance on Him must be accompanied by great faith as it is impossible to please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6. For example, the woman with the issue of blood, Mark 5:25-34, Blind Bartimaeus, Mark 10:46-52, The ten Lepers Luke 17:11-19 and many more.

We have also been given this power by our Lord Jesus Christ. John 1:12.

God’s power can be seen in the following:

Acts 2:1-4

Power to witness Acts 1:8

Power for signs and wonders – Acts 16:16-18

Power to do exploits – Acts 10:38

Power to live Godly – Ephesians 2:4-7

Power for fruitful service – John 15:16

Power for Divine protection – Isaiah 54:17

Power for Healing – Psalms 107:20

If God’s power must increase in you, you must decrease in yourself, and Christ must increase in you. John 3:30.

Conclusion

It is important for us to know that God is the Almighty and also Omnipotent. We must always put our trust in God as there is nothing impossible for Him to do. Luke 1:37.

He is also Omnipresent and Omniscient. Let’s endeavour to love God more in our lives as our love for Him is the condition for service.

Finally, I pray that God will locate you to make you partakers of the power of the Almighty God from now and for ever. Amen.
